The Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of RA in the frames of the programs on the recognition of the Armenian Genocide presented the scientific work “The Issues of Overcoming the Consequences of Genocide and Historical-Legal Arguments” by the head of department of the Armenian Issue and the History of the Armenian Genocide Armen Marukyan, on March 10, 2014. Many answers to questions are given in the book on the scientific level. An attempt was made to transfer already known historical facts, events to legal field and to find out the opportunities for raising this issue in the international courts, the problems in this way and historical-legal grounds to overcome them being based on the International Law.
The facts presented in the book are viewed in the way that are still unknown to many of the readers. The author referred to the Treaty of Kars in 1921, too, showing that it cannot be valid, and moreover, the agreement was illegal and was imposed on Soviet Armenia. The book has an appendix in Russian and will be published in English in the near future. |
