On June 2, 2016, Germany’s Bundestag has approved a resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide under the title of “Remembrance and commemoration of the genocide of Armenians and other Christian minorities in 1915 and 1916” , in which, it is stated that the Bundestag of Germany bows before the Armenians and the Christian minorities that were displaced and massacred in the Ottoman Empire. The resolution implicitly recognizes that a hundred years ago the Young Turks initiated a systematical deportation and annihilation of more than a million Armenians. “Their fate exemplifies the mass exterminations, the ethnic cleansing, as well as the implementing of a genocide, that was the most terrible incident of the 20th century”, - says the resolution.

It is also notable, that the resolution not only recognizes the Genocide, but acknowledges the accomplice role of German Empire in the crime committing process.
